HumeRidge is actively involved in various activities which assist our community. We believe that one of the reason the church exists is to bless our community in practical ways.

Volunteer areas you may consider being involved in:

Bus Driving – Various times including Sunday Services and Midweek activities.

Playgroups – Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9:30am-11am. Catering assistance, helpers to care for children and talk with Mums welcome.

English Classes – Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Volunteer roles as TESOL Teachers, reading assistance and catering needed.

HomeWork – Help Grades P-12 Homework support. Volunteer to help with reading, maths and assignment/project work.

Gardening/Moving Team – Various times. Assistance to help tidy yards, move people and provide general maintenance support.

Volunteers working with children and youth are required to hold a current Blue Card and must be approved by our Children’s and/or Youth Pastors. HumeRidge is part of the Churches of Christ “Child Safe” program.

You can also be involved in our community by working with our school Chaplains or teaching Religious Instructions in schools. Volunteers in these areas are required to hold a current Blue Card and will be required to have an interview with the various leaders before approved for these roles.
